Reflecting from the New Moon

I feel as though every time I start a blog I am also simultaneously coming out of a bad depression slump or burn out phase - and that is what has happened again!
But that is the reality of battling a mental illness every day. The last few months have been tough, and probably one of the worst yet. I found a day wouldn't go by where I wasn't in my own heard or stressing to the point where I would exhaust myself, and not be able to get of bed, or do basic day to day things.
The reality of a 'slump' is not being able to face brushing your teeth or getting in the shower, let alone hit goals and get excited about future plans. But as someone who has been battling anxiety and depression since the age of 9, I have only just learnt in the last year or so that this is something you learn to flow with, instead of resist. Later on in the week I will be posting some more in depth content about this topic, and how you can survive burn out, and recognise your slumps, and what you can do to get out of it step by step.

New Moon in Gemini
The last few weeks with mercury retrograde have been turbulent. This New moon has brought clarity, a refreshed space, and revitalised energy. Last night I cleansed all negativity, and set my exciting new intentions for this upcoming chapter.
If you didn't practise any rituals during this new moon, it's okay! You don't need to have an astrological event to manifest or utilise positive energy.
If you missed the new moon, try the below:
Start the day by writing down anything that is bothering you - out of your mind.
Write a gratitude list - what are you thankful for?
Write your goals for the day, no matter how small - they deserve to be celebrated.
Meditate, meditate, meditate. Bring yourself back to the moment and take everything second by second. Ground yourself and focus on your breathing - as this will protect your energy throughout the day.
Finish off by listening to some high vibrational frequency music or motivational speeches, say your affirmations to yourself and really enjoy the positivity and emotions you feel from this.
This is a great way to slowly ease yourself into becoming the best version of yourself.
You got this!
